MIT Stole the CalTech Cannon

Well our school was ahead of the curve by twenty years. Aparently the MIT guys more or less copied the Harvey Mudd pranksters. Its a nice tribute prank. Pretty impressive that they were able to get it across the county though.

Job Offer Anxiety

Arrgh! Waiting to hear back from companies about prospective job offers is the shits. Yesterday, I finally received an offer from a HealthCare company about 1 month after I interviewed there. And that was after a shitty interview on my part, I might add. They offered pretty good money and benefits, but the work itself isn't exactly awe-inspiring.
On the other hand, I had a pretty good interview with a company that does some really cutting edge stuff, in a work environment that seems to be productive and has a high level of comraderie. The problem is that this company isn't in any rush to give me an offer (or at least let me know that I won't be getting an offer).
So I am in a jam. I have a good offer from a good company, who would like me to sign ASAP. But, I have a potential offer from a great company, who won't give me any feedback, even though they know I am in a time crunch.
Anyways, sorry to bitch and moan, but hey, what else are blogs for...

I saw this on TV the other day and I wanted to follow up on it. It was on Animal Planet, actually. The Animal Planet show was counting down the top 10 animals whose mothers scrifice the most for their young. In between the 2nd and 1st place animal, they told a story about a wealthy lawer who lived in Toronto died and left in his will that he would give the rest of his estate to the mother in Toronto who had the most children 10 years after his death.

Here is a link to a page giving the full story: Story

Its pretty funny and interesting. A lot of it sounds like stuff BruteForce would think up.
